Wonder number two brings us back to Europe with the amazing Pamukkale in Turkey. In Turkish, this means ‘cotton castle’. During the summer months it is incredible enough, however in winter it creates these beautiful snowy hot tubs that really are worth the 10 hours drive from Istanbul! Talking of 10 hours, how about setting yourself a nice, running target for August?
The second piece of the WotW jigsaw shows off the beautiful, frozen, thermal pools of Pamukkale. The design links from the first design of Mount Everest in a smooth transition from sheer size to natural beauty. You have a choice of hanging up your medal or connecting it to the other rewards in the series to create your WotW jigsaw. If you have missed out on previous months, don't worry, all medals will be open to sign up for upon the completion of the series.
Our chosen charity for the WotW Challenge Series is 'When You Wish Upon A Star'. When You Wish Upon A Star grant magical wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. They make memories for a Wish child and their family to remember for a lifetime. By granting a Wish, this enables the family to have a truly amazing time forgetting about hospital routines, doctor's appointments and the gruelling treatments that have become a daily occurrence and allowing the whole family to smile, laugh and enjoy life!
