The Solo event for November is recognising the amazing efforts our relatives and ancestors made, along with lives currently being lost, during the wars fighting for our freedom and peace. You can choose from 3km, 5km, 10km and 21.1km to run/walk in a single activity during November.
This medal is based on the front page of the Evening Standard newspaper from Monday, November 11th, 1918, with the addition of the now iconic poppy flower to symbolise Remembrance Day. This is a celebration for the end of the war for everybody involved in the hope that there will be peace around the world one day.
For the Armistice Day virtual run, we will be giving away 10 lucky draw Prize Boxes of RFTW goodies worth £25. All runners who complete their chosen distance will be entered into the draw for a chance to win these great prizes.
10% of your entry fee to this event will be sent to the Run For The World Charity Pot. The total raised will be shared equally between our two amazing charities chosen for 2021. These are The Third Age Trust and Anthony Nolan. If you know of a charity that would be interested in partnering with us for 2022, please feel free to email us at email@example.com
5% of each entry fee (excluding VAT paid and shipping) for this event will be paid by Run For the World to The Third Age Trust (charity number 01759471).
