Hamish Bruce is communications manager at USPG. Although he rarely runs, he already took part in last year's 10k London Run
along with a team of other USPG staff and supporters.
A father of two, Hamish is hoping that his run will help bring funds to the action of USPG in areas of the world where it is most needed.
Hamish is a reader in the Oxford Diocese and a keen musician, playing the flute, saxophone, guitar and ukelele. He loves to put music to a good use by running a country band called the Scamping

Rogues which raises money for local and national charities. Hamish also leads music in his local church.
Hamish writes:
"My wife was born in Malawi and so I was delighted to have the opportunity to travel to that country recently on behalf of USPG, preparing the material for the lent 2006 course. I was profoundly moved by the dedication and commitment of staff in hospitals such as St. Luke's hospital in Malosa and of teachers at the Malosa and Malindi secondary schools. I will be running on behalf of USPG's "Malawi in Focus" Project, that enables this fantastic work in schools and hospitals to continue."
